Robotics and related services are changing industry worldwide. Spending has proliferated and will top $135 billion by 2019, according to research firm IDC, which measured the 2015 market at $71 billion in its Worldwide Commercial Robotics Spending Guide.
Gadget freaks at the Pacific Design & Manufacturing show in Anaheim earlier this month experienced a special treat: a chance to participate in a slot-car competition on the show floor.
Telemecanique Sensors launched its updated OsiSense XCKS limit switches, the most robust range of plastic limit switches on the market. The OsiSense XCKS range now includes integrated contacts and is designed to withstand high mechanical shock (IK05-compliant) in environments with fine dust and splash water (IP65- and IP67 compliant).
Many applications require measurements in places where wires or the sensing devices themselves are difficult to place. And, if communication wiring isn’t viable, then power cables aren’t any more likely. But measurement data waits for no one. A panel of industry veterans offers insights on going wireless and powering those devices.
Take machine safety further than ever Long conveyor applications require enhanced safety from end to end. Safety solutions allow your personnel to react quickly, at any point along the conveyor, to protect themselves as well as the equipment they work with.
Our new wireless OsiSense™ XCKW limit switch is a breakthrough device, serving a vast number of applications. Wireless Simplify machine communication where cabling is difficult, expensive, or unwanted. It’s also the perfect way to give mobile machines more freedom of movement. Easy to install
The latest sensor in the XMLP family combines compact size and high reliability for low-pressure management in various applications such as bottle filling machines or water treating processes.
OsiSense ZMLP is a pressure display that can be mounted directly on a pressure transmitter with an M12 electrical connection or remotely by using a cable. It is ideal for installations with piping out of reach or with difficult access. It provides easy parameter configuration (display range, set point, reset point) by adjusting two screws at the front with a standard screwdriver.
Sensing color can open up several options for machine builders, but making the choice isn’t a black-and-white decision.
Our picking sensors OsiSense XUPK improve the productivity on your assembly lines and are quick to install and easy to use, with little programming needed. The picking sensors work as a standalone system or with a communication box which can be connected to any PLC or PC-based control system, making it a complete automated solution.
The XUK9T operates with a time-of-flight measurement principle that provides accurate detection all along the 70m sensing range. It features a visible red laser spot which simplifies alignment with the reflector. It is specially suited to detect proximity between cranes and it can be used in tandem mode to synchronize parallel cranes moving heavy or large loads.
OsiSense XMLR is the new intuitive pressure switch that combines high performance and maximum ease of use.
I am happy to announce the appointment of Timothy Toth, as Director of Channel Management for Telemecanique Sensors - North America.
In addition to OsiSenseTM XS Cubic launched this year, new factor 1 can detect both ferrous and non ferrous material at the same range and with the same degree of accuracy. The new sensors are resistant to high levels of magnetic interference from sources such as transformers, motors, drives, or welders.

If you have to detect on a conveyor all type of objects regardless of their colours, transparency, surface finish, shape, absorbing ultrasonic wave (such a sponge) the OsiSense XX reflex is the solution. Built specifically for demanding environments, they maintain high level of performance without additional protection from dust or light.
The new OsiSense inductive sensors rectangular XS7C/XS8C offer is fully launch from now. They can replace the legacy range XS7C40/XS8C40 rectangular shape with similar characteristics. Telemecanique Sensors is proposing a first cross-reference list to help conversion from existing XS7C40/XS8C40 rectangular sensor to the new offer XS7C4/XS8C4 in the same form factor.

The new XGST compact size (120 x 250 x 62mm) hand-held terminal combines an ergonomic design and remarkable features to provide elevated performance on 13.56MHz RFiD tag diagnostic, maintenance and read/write operations.
