XX Ultrasonic Sensors (formerly known as OsiSense) perform contactless, reliable, and high-performance detection regardless of the target’s shape, texture, color, or transparency. Capable of withstanding even the harshest industrial environments, XX Ultrasonic Sensors operate in diffuse, reflex, and thru-beam modes.This range of sensors even includes long distance detection models. The integral connector and the available cabling and fixing accessories make these ultrasonic sensors extremely easy to install. Our most recent XX Ultrasonic Sensors line include:

High immunity to electromagnetic interference

XX Ultrasonic Sensors are E2-certified for mobile equipment. This entails a higher immunity to electromagnetic interference even in the most demanding applications.

Detection of small targets and curved surfaces

A powerful transducer and superior electronic design have made it easy to detect small objects. The high sensitivity level of the XX Ultrasonic Sensors enable them to detect many poorly reflective and curved surfaces.

Detection over a large coverage area

In the past, attempts to detect objects over a large area with multiple ultrasonic sensors would sometimes fail due to the fact that the sensor signals interfered with each other. With the ‘synchronization’ feature of the XX Ultrasonic Sensors, it is now possible to reliably detect objects over a large area with minimal risk of cross-talk, even when the ultrasonic sensors are installed closer together!

Our Ultrasonic XX software allows easy set up and customization of the XX configurable ultrasonic sensors range. Basic and advanced parameters such as operating mode, window area, hysteresis, and echo options can be adjusted to fit specific applications. Some variations available in the line of the XX Ultrasonic Sensors include:

Ultrasonic sensors with solid-state discrete output:

  • Cylindrical or flat formats
  • Sensing distances of 5 cm to 8m (fixed operating distance or adjustable using the teach mode)
  • PNP or NPN outputs, NO or NC function

Ultrasonic sensors for level monitoring

  • For controlling 2 levels (emptying and filling levels)
  • Cylindrical formats Ø 18 and Ø 30 mm
  • Sensing distance from 50 cm to 2 m (adjustable using teach mode)

Ultrasonic sensors with analog output

  • Analog output 4…20 mA or 0…10V
  • Cylindrical or flat format
  • Sensing distances from 50 cm to 8 m (adjustable using teach mode)
